Sorry, the Covid excuse cuts both ways.

I didn't get this either.

I can't wait until we start winning, but not by enough, and we beat that horse!

I will cry tears of joy while pretending to be outraged by style points or point spreads

This is the first season with the new transfer rules...  but I am not sure how covid "cuts both ways".  You're saying that less practice together as a team should somehow make the team better?

I guess I wasn’t  clear.  I was referring to the extra year of eligibility with Covid.  There were both challenges  and advantages  with Covid.  The lack of practice tIme was a challenge but being able to get an extra year of eligibility was a plus.  So between players now immediately eligible thorough the portal and an extra year of eligibility due to Covid coaches are able to rebuild a program much quicker by CJS own admission.  I guess if we beat Florida and Oviedo I would consider 5-7 successful but to not get your program to 6-6 by year 3 should throw up a red flag.

For the record, I’m not for firing him if we don’t get to 6-6.

Well, almost all of those players with extra seasons were Charlie Strong recruits... so not sure how much it actually is a benefit.  HA!!

I am willing to cut some slack, but not too much... depending on the season, I could be persuaded to say the seat under CJS will be quite warm with fewer than 6 wins... about as warm as it mush be under Gregory now.

Truth be told, I have no idea what his impact is. But its happening while he is the coach.

That’s the same mindset people have when it comes to US Presidents.

6-6 and is definitely a reasonable goal for 2022 - which is technically year 3, but in practice is a lot more like year 2 when you factor in how little the team could actually practice and play together as a full team in 2020... no spring practice, very little summer camp, lots of covid isolations/quarantines, etc.  You can't progress unless you can practice together as a team.  So 2020 to 2021 there was no progress... But 2021 to 2022 there has to be progress... and while making a bowl game is not the ONLY goal, it is most definitely reasonable and achievable given the schedule and the team.

Y’all act like 6-6 is the easy obtainable goal. Maybe that’s the max goal?
