@Gatorbull325,

I won't read all the responses, but wanted to thank you.  It is so much healthier to be positive and optimistic.  Unfortunately, the internet rewards negativity, porn and great meme makers.

The Bulls crowd has had it rough.  I hope that individually each is of strong enough mind to pull themselves up from the darkness of perpetual doom.  Don't make currency out of negativity and cynicism.

I too have struggled with the failings of this program and our school.  But I return, I stay on board. I refresh (more than once).

If all one can do is contribute negative tripe, they really should think of inviting other things into their life in place of USF Football.

So, thanks for the positive thought.

Go Bulls!

"Don't make currency out of negativity and cynicism",....I'm sooooooo stealing that statement for future use. Thats a good one! Lol  😎

That is the point all of us struggle with, some can continue to get kicked in the nuts,  smile and turn the other gonad, while others groan about it.  I used to love and look forward to watching this team and that has been taken from me.  I am not a miserable person, life is way too short and I have been fortunate but I will always voice my displeasure or happiness when things I love are going good or bad. This is not the end of the world but unfortunately I cannot be oblivious when I am in the middle of a **** storm like Gator.   I guess we all have different ways of coping with this.

If you are getting upset from the negativity on the board then I would say that you are at the wrong place. This has been a sad (dare I say traumatic) experience for many of us this past week. One of the attributes of the board is it is a place to vent and that is what is taking place. Once we start to win some games, see the new IPF being built,  and forget about the Big12 event, things will calm down some. But we suffered a black eye this week and people on and off this board are hurting.

I can't take your post seriously with its lack of bolded words.

Verbosity has a home here.

I'm not oblivious to anything. I know we are not a good team. But as long as a FCS school like Montana can beat a 20th ranked Washington or a FCS App State beat a 5th ranked Michigan Wolverines, I will ALWAYS have hope.

I like hope and I used to go into games with this, nowadays I lose hope 5 minutes into the game and eventually this gets tiresome.    The App State win was the same day we beat Auburn so that was a long time ago.

It's kind of bizarre to make an "anti-negativity" post that includes statements about how everyone who disagrees with you is a female genitalia part.

There is realism, negativity, and toxic positivity.  I go with realism. We suck until we suck and there is no future until they win, build the ipf, and fund this new OCS. Lots of articles written recently about toxic positivity lately.

This is the most intelligent take. You have to boil a river of nuance out of the equation in-order to polarize the conversation into two oversimplified "negative/positive" camps. There's plenty of differing takes between calling for the team to be discontinued and wanting to give the team apple slices and juice boxes because they are good boys for trying hard. Some of the "negativity" is just people who looked forward to this season and are disappointed that we got completely obliterated, and looked even worse than the 45-0 score. To paint these people as perpetual losers for caring about the team is not engaging in productive dialogue.
