It's really not that baffling at all considering those who don't like him fall into basically two categories. They either don't like him because CCS hired him or  CJL didn't hire him.

Also that he has only lower level coaching experience and some people cross over into multiple categories or even all three.

Anybody remember when KB said that BB had a great arm, could make all the throws, etc. Then he followed that up with, "we just gotta get him to calm his feet down in the pocket and make his reads,"? I think maybe KB saw all he needed to see between the two QB's.

Excellent point and thanks for bringing this up as I have yet to see anything wrong with KB yet. He seems to have a good plan that will take some time for most fans to see the positive results. Hopefully we see more scoring again this weekend. Go Bulls!

Death, taxes, and puc. If I can't count on these, what do I have in this world?

All three are so depressing!

Lower level coaching experience has nothing to do with it...it’s not rocket scrivener...further, we need better players at key positions...

If your hire isn't from a lower school or lower position, you're getting someone else's failure.

Why? Is it rocket scrivener for the players? Football is football as long as they played PeeWee and excelled they should be just fine.

It’s a personal preference of mine that there be some familiarity with the level someone is looking to preform at, had he had position coaching at a higher level I would be far more comfortable. I understand that it’s not a big deal for some but to me it comes across as a glaring issue.

I don’t have a problem with your overall stance. Having a hesitation that he will be successful at a higher level of play is reasonable. Where I have an issue is your consistent belaboring of the point, without adding context to the equation. Take away the generalities, what about his scheme don’t you like? Do you dislike his quick game passing concepts? Do you feel his route concepts won’t work at this level? Why?

Your stance is reasonable, but your reasoning why is lazy and annoying. If you’re going to dislike a member of the staff, at the very least provide some level of depth to your argument.

And all three categories constitute IB's "lazy and annoying" reasoning considering we're only 3 games into his tenure here ....

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
