Somehow the throwing motion and Brett Kean were weird. I hope they get the help they need because Gilbert was not quarterback whisperer.

No, not really. He had less time on the field than some commercials.

It was painfully obvious that he wasn’t the future.. he got quite a few opportunities (pretty much all of spring for starters).

Really really wanted him to be the guy after Flowers, but I don't blame him for leaving this dumpster fire. I would have been pissed after UCF and bowl games.

He was flat awful...not a D1 QB talent wise, running or passing..

Kean and O had YEARS to develop into the next "guy" and didn't do that so it's time for all to move on. The staff gets to really see what they have in Battles and McCloud and we get to sell an immediate shot to start in this upcoming recruiting cycle. This is what's best for everyone

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

There was a reason Barnett remained the starter...Kean and O weren't any good.

They both seem like good people but we need an answer at quarterback and they weren't it. Good luck to the them, I have no ill will.

His team did get better toward the end of the year though

A far cry from their NC years.  They are not positioned to win NC any longer.
