GA Tech brought like 8000 fans to MTSU a few years back.

Wow they brought more than 1/3 of the total enrollment of little MTSU.

Went to the Varsity in Norcross this summer.  Man was it awful

Went today with family 2000 people were there the entire menu was 90 cents. The frosted orange shake es great the rest of the stuff horrible.   They turned 90 years old today.

Right, it's more of a tradition thing than a foodie experience. I lived in the ATL 18 years, only went to Varsity 3x but when you're there with friends it tastes better. 😉

PS - My go-to has been OK Cafe, though it's not in the downtown area--great southern food. I can't wait for this game either, been to several GT games and love the stadium location.

True the Varsity across from Georgia Tech is the best one even if for the experience alone.  Last time I was in there on a non-football Saturday it was pretty empty and the guy behind the counter told me that they sell 35,000 dogs the day of Tech home games if it's not raining.  35 servers at the counter going nonstop.  So What'll Ya Have?

GO BULLS!

Here's the thing. It's more tradition / experience than anything else. Hot dogs and hamburgers are hotdogs and hamburgers. Flavor and all things considered, it's three stars. If you're gonna go to a GT game, swinging by The Varsity is the thing to do. Check that box.

Agreed, gotta go Downtown for that.  The other ones don't have that same vibe

Has anyone from out of state ever brought their band before?  Maybe it's just a pep band thing.

To answer this question, tons of teams bring their band.   In the 21 years I have held tickets it seems to vary quite a bit from none to the full complement.   My season tickets are nearly directly across from the visitor band, I have to say when FAMU was here that was the loudest bunch EVER.  They would crank it up during every break and blow our hair back on the other side.
