I'll never understand smazza. I'm still not confident he's a real person, but if he is, he's got at least twelve personalities.

Smazza doesn't want people to increase their income unless they sue to do so.

Harlan has made the right move on waiting to give an extension. I am a big CWT fan and have never wanted him fired as I believe in giving coaches 4 years to turn things around. He has done great overall, But he hasn't won the conference.  I think he should show another good year rather than Harlan rushing to get him an ext. i also get it this day and age that you usually now need to do this to keep a coach. CWT is just leveraging for a bigger pay day and don't blame him for interviewing.

We already know Harlan believes the turnaround is because CWT stuck to his plan.  He said as much.

Prepare to hear Muschamp gets the SC job and an extension for CWT is announced any day now.

this is what I'm expecting.

If he stays it could also be a good recruiting tool. He will most likely imply that he turned down the offer.

Yup, CWT is playing the game perfectly. This is the way big time college football works....

The funny thing is reading some comments from Cocks fans on some of these articles about CWT interviewing.

if they did hire him, reading the fanbase meltdowns would at least be fun.

Perspective is a funny thing.  Everything I have read here since this thread has started are pretty solid opinions.  Some I agree with, some I don't.  Regardless, some recruits will believe CWT spin on this, others will not.

None of us have any idea how all this took place.  Did CWT go to Harlan and ask for a pay raise before the interview?  Did Harlan know, Did the players know.  It is unfair to blame or be mad at CWT for trying to better his position, that is not the question.  However, I would love to find out how it all played out, but we will probably never know that.  Harlan is smart and so is CWT, they will spin this as a positive, regardless.  But, I will not buy this as a positive event for the university, no matter the outcome.

Taggart will huddle the boys before today's practice and explain he did do the interview, listened to what they had to say, and will tell team he likes things here at USF just fine.  Team will be stronger because of all this.
