He has been here 21/2 years and the product on the field is poo. Other teams start true freshmen and sophmores and if this class was so good, like everyone brags it is then Tags is the problem not Holtz. He is gone Move on! Don't mean to poop on your pity party, but Taggart has literally been here a year and 9 months. But don't let the facts get in your way. Likewise when making an argument CWT is doing a better job than CSH did. The only thing you can say for CWT is that he might become a better coach. But then again, Mike White might become an All-America if we're playing that game. Taggart is the 5th youngest head coach in college football coaching a roster full of freshman and sophomores. Holtz is in his rebound job where 85% of his starters came from the previous coach.

So you believe CWT is currently doing a better job than CSH? recruiting. yes. haven't been impressed with either of them for on-field coaching. I think Holtz was left with a much better situation than Taggart. The only difference in results so far is that holtz landed a quality QB transfer and Taggart didn't. huge mistake on Taggart's part. That's only good for one year though. eventually Holtz lack of recruiting will catch up to him just like it did here. it's tough to compare their careers because Taggart is so young. our job might well have been the pinnacle of Holtz career. too early to say whether or not it's Taggarts but he is still considered on the uptrend of his career while Holtz is not. I even wore a bag fire Skip. Taggart has made me so apathetic that I don't have the energy to wear one now. Just expect losses and then not disappointed Well, you got what you wanted .... He ran our program into the ground. Our current coach may or may not be throwing dirt on us. But the guy before literally dug the whole and threw us in. All while golfing. I'm hoping for the best. If anything the 2011-2012 Holtz was outlier and not the norm. In 15 seasons as a head coach Holtz has 9 seasons that are better than anything that Taggart has ever offered in his 5 years as a HC. 3 of the 6 bad seasons Holtz has had were his first years with UConn, ECU, and LA Tech. Holtz definately sucked here for sure, but in his career has wins over 5 ranked teams, conference championships, bowl wins, and on his way to his 7th season with at least 8 wins. It is becoming clearer and clearer that Taggart is a better recruiter, but not near the gameday coach that Holtz is. Taggart doesn't know anything but the Stanford offense and cannot adapt. He makes very little game time adjustments (at least none that produce positive results). Hopefully we can find somebody who is both a good recruiter and a good coach.
Sipher Posted November 7, 2014 Group: Member Topic Count: 2 Content Count: 822 Reputation: 77 Days Won: 0 Joined: 03/13/2012 Share Posted November 7, 2014 A coach gets three years at a new program (exception being P5 programs, but even there it holds true for the most part). Let's revisit this topic towards the end of year 3 for CWT. It was very apparent at the end of 3 years for CSH, he was not the right head coach for us.
