Virginia Tech and Miami are equal to what in the Big East?

Miami has been barely an average team for the last ten years. Virginia Tech may have some argument, but are you going to say that Boise State hasn't been better? I'm not talking prestige, but actual on field results.

Besides which, you are forgetting that in most of the scenarios being discussed, Virginia Tech is gone from the ACC as well.

If we end up back in the ACC, it will be with Pitt and Syracuse as the marquee football teams. Been there, done that.

Boise State. They beat VT in a great game in 2010. I love Boise State. That being said Boise State has racked up prestige playschedules schedule that features 1-2 games a year that they have a legit chance of losing.

The mere idea that someone would suggest being in a conference with Boise State and Louisville driving the football ship is better than the ACC is insane.

Some of you need to quit looking at what has happened the last 5 years, and look at the bigger picture. Under some people's theory, Alabama was done 6 years ago when they were struggling to have winning records. (The NCAA helped). Oklahoma stood no chance of returning to glory in the early 2000s after 10+ years of terrible football.

I'm sure USC was an also ran to you too until 2002.

Prestige is what matters here bossman. 60,000 fannies in seats. Large fan bases. TV viewers. There will always be lean years, but the ACC has teams that can turn the tables, and have been very good in the past.

I don't know how it will play out. If FSU is the only school to jump, so be it. But I do know that I'd rather be in the ACC. Any other suggestion of stayinh in the BE should that offer come is foolish.

Rats in the ACC. Please secure life vests in preparation for abandoning ship.

Ask Miami.

Want back in the Big East yet?

They're guaranteed 17 mil a year. We're guaranteed nothing at this point. I'd go with no.

I have no beef with the "U", just some of their dumb ass fans (who 95% could not find the campus on a map), but if the "U" come back, then it's lights out for any conference..... I remember the "U" in its prime.. NO ONE wanted to play them

The ACC will be better off than the BE even with defections.

Want to bet their contract has a clause in it saying the money is based on having current membership intact. As goes FSU so goes the 17.

FSU is looking hard at the Big 12, rumor has some combination of Clemson, VaTech and Miami also on the Big 12 list. Va Tech and Virignia and/or NC / NC State could be SEC potentially. It ain't over yet, basically.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
