If you look at the first image of snapdragon stadium, those are reinforced concrete pieces supported by those large steel columns.  Just because you can see exposed steel doesn't mean it is supporting metal bleachers in the USF rendering.

FAU - 2010 - $70 Million 30K Seating

USF - 2027 - $300 Million 35K Seating (assuming $40 million is being used for the TGH center for athletic excellence)

Seems about right. Have you heard of…. Inflation? Right now

Percent. Plus the “supply chain” issues. Add in a couple wars, weather issues, and random other world events. Hell we’ll be lucky to get this thing build under $325 million with the way things are looking right now. You want cup holders? That might be an extra 15-20 million easy.

Yes and inflation doesn't just happen.  So we are paying for our collective choices now.

Agree with many here. Exposed stadium beams look el cheapo. No way around that. We all expected more.

This was preliminary and does not reflect a final design. Crazy overreation to a conceptual render that will change.

Is "conceptual" something we had the intern draw up based on what we told her the rest of us talked about over lunch? 'cause just the phrase "conceptual" is pretty nebulous. Just how close to the finished product does it have to be: "OK, let's say the orientation is east-west, and uh...let's say, seats around thirty-thousand, and...ok, let's add a couple of elevations. There. There's your placeholder. How's that. Just something to think about.":iconic_u_black:

Snapdragon Stadium last year was $310 million and capacity is 35,000 also.  I think what we are getting is going to be comparable.

Oh brother! Had no idea we had so many amateur engineers, etc. here. We have a flipping football stadium coming and a bunch of numbnuts are critiquing one computer-generated sketch and deciding it’s a failure. Not to be believed. Honestly, UNBELIEVABLE. OK, now go ahead and unload on me. Go Bulls?

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
