First, per Wiki, it was $266M. Second, it's not 9 years, it's 13 years, opening date to date. Also, maybe someone in the field can verify, but I'm not sure inflation for this type construction parallels normal inflation.

Here's what $310M got SDSU for their 35K seat stadium in 2022:

Wake me up when they pour the concrete.  I think the college football landscape change going to leave USF holding the bag.  Hopefully not, but winning and a stadium would really help.

Remember, these are the first rendering that WILL change each update. I imagine the similar steel structure is because we plan to expand within 10 years. Also, the moneys is not only the stadium . . .

For reference: 

Auburn: $92MM

UF: Estimated $85MM

Maryland (with IPF): $149MM

Cincinnati (with IPF): $134MM

Bottom line is the south side construction of the football/lacrosse performance facility, which would not be part of a "standalone stadium" like these other schools you are comparing our builds to, more than likely cost a significant amount of money and proportion of the total construction cost. My guess is in the neighborhood of $75-$100MM of it will be the performance facility (which will include the locker rooms and medical training facilities as well). 

They just got a new locker room, is this in addition or will they be giving up their current locker rooms? Will the locker rooms be coed?  Nowadays gender is a concept that is slowly going away so possibly a way to save a few bucks.

In the BOT meeting, which everyone should still watch if they have questions like this, VPoAMK stated the LRS Center will also be getting a makeover to repurpose all football stuff there for the other teams. They will need to do it again when baseball/softball move into their performance facility (no clue on that groundbreaking, obviously OCS is focus).
