The Pac 12 is going to eventually be raided by the B1G. I think it is inevitable. At some point, the financial considerations are going to be too much to turn down. For instance, Washington was faced with cutting $28 million from its athletics budget this year. TWENTY EIGHT MILLION BUCKAROOS! Part of that is due to Covid, but they were in financial trouble long before the pandemic. They are going to be faced with a choice to either scale back their program and, in turn, accept mediocrity or commit to winning and make a jump to a conference that will bring them more money.

Will conferences still matter to route Pfizer money through ESPN to Nick Saban, but not for paying players?
