No one is actually “less” susceptible to the virus, that we know of. The WHO has already issued a statement regarding people not getting their hopes up about serology testing. We have no proof that folks have any immunity, but we do know of folks that have gotten sick twice and passed away.

Throwing everyone back into normal routines would be the dumbest thing ever. We know the contagion is real and that folks will die needlessly if health care systems are overburdened. The underlying economic reasons for “reopening” the economy are all a byproduct of how congress has chosen to disperse stimulus dollars. The government has tools at their disposal to deal with this, but they chose to expand socialism for corporations and pain for the people.

No one is saying to act as normal what some are questioning is if the juice of current restrictions or heightened restrictions is worth squeeze and if people  can’t develop natural immunity from having came into contact with the disease that doesn’t speak very well to there ever being a vaccine in which case you cannot honestly expect people to stay home for ever.

But would we have it any other way around here?

Novavax and the university of Pittsburgh are each currently engaged in testing potential vaccines on rodents. We will have to see what they come up with. It might become an annual immunization or something, which would be terrible

I understand that people are testing it which even if successful would be at least a year and change from wide distribution, what I am saying however is if actually getting the disease does not create any immunity from it for any period of time there is no immunization that would be effective for any period of time. Immunizations create the antibodies for you to fight off the disease before it gets started if having the antibodies does nothing by your measure than neither will a shot to get them.

Not everyone can appreciate the good things in life.

I can tell your a consumer of daily propaganda, as you're taking the President out of context.

I saw him say it.  What was out of context?  He said we could kill it with bleach or UV light.  Stared at that poor woman doctor who suffers him while saying it.  So he either just learned yesterday that those things can kill a virus or he was wondering to himself why don't we just have people drink bleach to kill the virus.  As for the UV light, the sun provides that and we should all be living on the beach instead of cooped up in our homes.

I get it. Part of the testing is interval testing to try to determine, if the animals develop antibodies and if so how long they last. The research is moving quickly, but time is the only way we will know anything for sure. From Europe and Asia we know folks can be reinfected. What those rates are and what those impacts look like we still don’t know much about. It’s a marathon not a sprint and folks can’t lose sight of that

So will shooting up UV rays lead to a new kind of addict? I pretty sure shooting up disinfectant will kills the other folks. Will mixing UV rays and disinfectants create zombies?

This is the softest humanity has ever been...puss1es. If you can't handle 3 months in your home with all the resources available to people then just think back to what humanity had to deal with in the thousands of years prior to now. 3 months in your house to stay safe and stop the spread is better 3 months of any other era in human history.

The fed is going to pump as much money as they need to keep the economy afloat. The downstream impact to all of this is this - the country is moving left, a Republican-led government is adding to the deficit and taxes will have to be raised at some point - personal, corporate, other.

Suck it up people and stop the spread, and be prepared to pay more taxes.

And what magic thing do you think happens in 3 months that would make it safe to come out without having an instant spread? Mitigation isn’t a cure it’s attempting to control the amount of spread to a serviceable amount and if the amount of spread is far below what can be serviced we are simply wasting those resources and people’s willingness to cooperate on punting the football down the field. It is past time to start looking at what solutions can be used long term because once a virus is here anyone without immunity is still just as susceptible after a month, a year or even decades just ask our friend the measles.

3 mos and we have a vaccination,  don’t think so Bry.  People are not complaining about sitting at home, they are complaining about losing their livelihoods. The end game was an aggressive move toward socialism and I would agree with you that is where we are headed.  The key is to retire early and let the other jabronis work to pay taxes and support the mother state.

But not doing that could have turned this country into Italy with bodies lined up in refrigerator units outside hospitals.
