I will consider that an improvement over the previous regime, as we always looked worse as the year went on. That said, I think anyone expecting a bowl game is setting themselves up for disappointment. This team is sorely lacking talent.

Like said earlier, if we show progress than most of us will be satisfied.

I think there’s easily two more wins among FAU, Memphis, Temple, Navy, and Houston. ‘Easily’, assuming our new coaching staff is competent, which I do believe. We have a leg up already on FAU, since their two coordinators from last year now working for us will know that roster inside-out from a scouting perspective. Memphis will be transitioning to a new coach, so their success is by no means assured. Houston and Temple took big steps back this past year. And Navy is a wildcard year-to-year. stop the run and you beat navy

I’m hopeful he can improve his arm strength in the off season. Edited December 25, 2019 by Gismo

We're just expressing hope and sharing positive vibes. We hope we'll go 6-6 next year. If we do better, even more reason to be happy. 6-6 and a bowl game the first year for this coaching staff?? That would be a phenom achievement. I think the USF football program is about to shift into high gear, high energy. of course we are all hopeful and interested/anxious to see what transpires. McCloud will be a solid back up for us, but I’ll be shocked if he ends up starting.

Why weren’t we much better from beginning to the end? Well we played the 4 toughest team in the conference and we don’t have championship competing players. Also played that game without the starting left tackle Donovan vs cincy. Didn’t matter who was coaching offense. Coach Bell has always been a championship winning head coach and took a leap of faith coming here. He got put in the worst offensive situation in the country. The man can coach and recruit. I believe we will regret letting him go and not giving him the opportunity to build the team like he has every where he has been.

With how bad it was this past year and the situation that Coach Bell was given offensively with a Qb that shouldn’t been playing. We were a fumble on goalline away from one win. And 5 missed field goals away and a awful touchdown called back from upsetting Cincinnati.
