I expect the team to look better in game 12 than they do in game 1. I will consider that an improvement over the previous regime, as we always looked worse as the year went on.

That said, I think anyone expecting a bowl game is setting themselves up for disappointment. This team is sorely lacking talent.

this is so true

in the last game the mental mistakes was direct reflection on the coaching

We are not expecting anything, but we are hoping for a bowl game.  Like said earlier, if we show progress than most of us will be satisfied.

I see no reason why we can’t win 6 games next year: Bethune Cookman, Nevada, ECU, Tulsa should all be locks, just based on our team from this past season.

I think there’s easily two more wins among FAU, Memphis, Temple, Navy, and Houston. ‘Easily’, assuming our new coaching staff is competent, which I do believe. We have a leg up already on FAU, since their two coordinators from last year now working for us will know that roster inside-out from a scouting perspective. Memphis will be transitioning to a new coach, so their success is by no means assured. Houston and Temple took big steps back this past year. And Navy is a wildcard year-to-year.

stop the run and you beat navy

amen

our coaching staff was horrible and all the criticisms are justified

i believe mccloud can be used in certain situations and that there is a place for him on the team

I think McCloud will be a good QB with a better offensive line and plays designed around his strengths. I’m hopeful he can improve his arm strength in the off season.

No one is saying we're winning the conference or even our division next year. We're just expressing hope and sharing positive vibes. We hope we'll go 6-6 next year. If we do better, even more reason to be happy.

6-6 and a bowl game the first year for this coaching staff?? That would be a phenom achievement. I think the USF football program is about to shift into high gear, high energy. of course we are all hopeful and interested/anxious to see what transpires.

Arm strength isn’t typically something that just develops overnight. Especially not in your third year in a program.

McCloud will be a solid back up for us, but I’ll be shocked if he ends up starting.

We played really well offensively with the player issues we had all year vs a Cincinnati team that won 10 games and beat ucf. Why weren’t we much better from beginning to the end? Well we played the 4 toughest team in the conference and we don’t have championship competing players. Also played that game without the starting left tackle Donovan vs cincy. Didn’t matter who was coaching offense. Coach Bell has always been a championship winning head coach and took a leap of faith coming here. He got put in the worst offensive situation in the country. The man can coach and recruit. I believe we will regret letting him go and not giving him the opportunity to build the team like he has every where he has been.

Reason we lost 6 straight games the year before and offensively didn’t have a Qb or line this pass year to be successful. With how bad it was this past year and the situation that Coach Bell was given offensively with a Qb that shouldn’t been playing. We were a fumble on goalline away from one win. And 5 missed field goals away and a awful touchdown called back from upsetting Cincinnati.
