I fully expect that by 9/5/20, the expectations will be no worse than 10-3.😎

I think people are being smarter with this hire.  Most people realize this is a rebuilding year with a brand new regime.  I think the culture will start changing quickly.  Gives me hope we will be better than expected but certainly not championship level YET!

This really is the expectation we should have:

  • Year 1: Results less important - just do two things: coach up the players better than the prior regime and don't do anything dumb
  • Year 2: Show significant improvement from the first year, particular from this coach's recruits; should expect a record at or above .500
  • Year 3: Competing for a conference championship
  • Year 4+: Don't go backwards

THIS! But we might do it faster.

6 and 6, bowl eligible is a completely reasonable expectation.  Hell, we should have been 6-6 this year if we could have scored once in a while.  With next years schedule, I will be expecting at least 6-6 even with the talent we have.

No doubt.  6-6 should not be a pipe dream in this conference in any season

Well we don't have UConn as a guarenteed win moving forward.

There's plenty of winnable games on the schedule

I would switch year 3 and 4, but good general breakdown.

I'm one of those (sorry brother Puc) who believes that KB walked into an impossible situation and never did get to show how good he could be.  But we have to remember that it was the prerogative of the new coach, not necessarily a reflection of his performance of only one season.  So, we will never know.

I am a CJL guy and always have been.  But I have to tell you, it is really hard not to get excited and grateful for landing a pedigree like this.  I realize that message boards make the term "over-analysis" seem amateur, but let's take a break from all the handwringing and look at what is happening in our program.  If we can't be thankful for a coordinator from the best program in the nation who seems to be building a great staff, what the heck are we expecting?

Shoot we could have done this this year and lord knows what we have been dealing with.

After next season we are going to look back and see how bad the subsidized Strong hire was. All will be clear to us.

Because hindsight is 2020.

I think many of us saw how bad the CCS hire was sometime in 2018.
