Umm yes it does matter.

Targeting elements include:

1. Rule 9-1-3:

  • (a) A player takes aim at an opponent for the purposes of attacking with forcible contact with the crown of the helmet.

You're probably right... but, how often is PI called on a hail mary at the end of the game? It's the same principle here The referees shouldn't be deciding games like this. Maybe it's a piss poor rule and the refs got it right, but, a game can't be decided like this, it's bad for the sport.

The ref decides a game if he doesn't call a penalty. It works both ways. If he doesn't call it and USF wins, he decides the game. The ref has a job. Enforce the rules from the time the game starts to when it ends.

We lost a game against a bad GT team by being inept on offense and giving them 14 points with a ton of penalties.

I understand the frustration because the game was winnable, but it was the coaching staff and the players who lost it. And it sucks because GT looks pretty inept and we will be facing better teams than GT.

But hey, McCloud should carve up SCS.

Penalties and waiting way too long to put McCloud in is what cost us the game. The lack of discipline on the field and penalties have been brutal under CCS.

Agreed. Charles clearly doesn’t recognize talent on his roster. So obvious that McCloud make better reads, can be mobile enough to escape pressure when our line breaks down, and hits his man in stride. The fact it took 3 qtrs to play McCloud lost this game.

I'm thinking if we start McCloud-- we win this

How absurd is it that we pissed away opportunities for him to see the field last year so we could play Kean and Oladokan?
