Al Bundy once rushed for 4 TDs against Andrew Johnson HS.

Had to search this. Never really watched this show, but this is great. His reminiscing sounds really familiar

He was unable to do that and that is a fact.  Was it the lack of facilities, lack of OCS, lack of tradition, fan base, etc or was it Jim?  I always thought it was everything else but Jim.

I think it probably had something to do with the team only starting in 1997.

You’ve expressed that as your view on multiple occasions.

Yet you keep questioning it....

This isn't politics where you keep repeating until it is accepted as truth.  It's your opinion, and mine happens to differ.  Accept it, it's the truth!

Ok then...just let it go. But when I  am questioned directly I will respond...

Historical performance sucked...how’s that? We’ve won no championships because Jimbo could not get the needed depth.

But I didn't.

However, I am pleased you name depth as the problem, implying that as a startup in CFB (USF) was able to put together competitive players to knock off so many P5 teams, just getting enough of those players was a problem.  No doubt.  Many overperformed and earned the admiration of fans.  Would have been nice to have more, but they were diamonds in the rough - not five star signees.

But the thread started with your comment: “Poor current performance is not an accurate determinant of historical performance.  You should stop trying to whitewash past years in order to normalize the current situation.

...but I digress, yes I agree depth has almost always been a problem. It killed us in 2006 and 2007 arguably our best teams with the best talent. They did their best but could not get over the hump.

Assess the logic of your statement.

I don’t think it’s called an invasion when you welcome people in with open arms, more like an invite.
