So we believe the computers when they say Cincy is 2 spots below us, but we don't believe them when they say we shouldn't be in the top 25?

Is their someone saying that we should be in the top 25 of the Massey composite rankings?  We should be in the top 25 of the coaches and the ap polls because they are done by voters and we got more points than those behind us. That computers are close in agreement with those voters should cement the belief that we do belong which should not be confused with an outlier opinion like ESPN’s that we are underserving of being in the top 50.

Couldn't be USF-- that's for sure

In this instance standard deviation is our friend and shows that ESPN can suck it.

We can be proud of our team and admit that they have areas of improvement. Coach Strong does it every week in his presser.

And thats the beauty of the season. If we think they're so wrong then we'll go prove it.

At least they have actual objective criteria.

Semi-objective.  Someone had to write the code that places different weight to certain data points like, margin of victory, etc.  So, while there's no, "eye test" it's not completely objective.

But at least everybody is held to the same standards. With no human bias and set criteria for what determines rankings.
