I agree Trip.  It was a dumb ass question to ask, but that's JK for you.  My point is I don't believe CWT would have answered it the same way.  I could see him saying something like, we're playing for a chance to win the first conference championship in school history and we're not even think about that...next question.

To just say it would still be a success kind of seems weak to me.

CWT and CCS are too completely different coaches, with different coaching and handling of the media styles ....... Plus, I have to concure with JT's observation.

When CWT wins his next game against a ranked opponent, it will be his first. That swagger you admire is a whole lot of sizzle and very little steak.

So it's like ordering steak fajitas and getting chicken instead?

So far with the roster Taggart left Strong, he doesn't have 1 win over a team with a pulse.

Well, there you go. CWT did have the magic touch inspiring his players to greatness.

Pretty sure one of his go to answers was "Our goal is to win championships in a first class manner".  He probably would've broken that out in this case.

Avoidance of the question would definitely have been the smarter move .... no matter how truthful his response actually was.

SB is 9-2. Plus, they are ranked #11. So, there's that, at least.
