GAME DAY vs ECU

USF will hit the road for the first time in a more than a month to play its first AAC road game at ECU. USF has never lost in three previous games in Greenville. The Bulls’ No. 17 ranking is their highest since Week 6 of the 2011 season.

ON AN AAC ROLL: USF is 14-3 in AAC games over the last three seasons and has won five straight AAC games and five of its last six AAC road games. USF is 4-0 in AAC road openers, including winning 45-20 at Cincinnati last year.

MOST SUCCESSFUL ERA: USF’s 22 wins over the last 26 games mark the winningest period (84.6%) in program history. With at least seven games remaining in 2017, the Bulls have 23 wins in the most recent three seasons and are just three wins shy of equaling their most-ever over three seasons (26, 2006-08) in program history.

ONE OF HOTTEST TEAMS IN THE NATION: USF’s 9-game win streak is the third longest active streak in the nation and the Bulls’ 22-4 record over the last 26 games ranks tied as the fourth best record in the nation over that period.

30-POINT SCORING STREAK REACHING RECORD LENGTH: USF has scored 30 or more points in 21 straight games, the longest active streak in the nation. The Bulls are quickly closing on the longest such streak in the AP Poll (1936) era now trailing only Oregon (23, 2011-12), Oklahoma State (22, 2010-12) and Hawaii (22, 2006-07).

DEFENSIVE RESURGENCE: USF ranks 1st in the nation in turnovers gained and interceptions, 3rd in rushing defense, 13th in total defense and 22nd in scoring defense, a huge improvement under first-year defensive coordinator Brian Jean-Mary. In the last two games, 31 of 32 opponent drives have ended in six plays or less with 9 going for negative yardage and just five gaining 20 yards or more.

I hope we put them away early and give our backups plenty of reps in mop up duty.

Agree with a quick start being important. Need to get Q on track.

Must jump out on them early. Flowers must hit his passes early and the receivers must catch the ball. Can't afford to drop passes that are easy completions or touchdowns.
