He wasn't their first choice, first choice was Chip Kelly then they tried to hire Rhule last night who decided on Baylor. He may be their 3rd choice or their 5th, at this point it could potentially get that far.

No one, and I say no one, will turn down more money and chance to play for a NCS. Coaches are competitive and they will always look for the best opportunity, especially if they are in a lower conference.

Reading their 24/7 board I agree however I'm not sure it will happen. They thought Kelly was a done deal the last 2 days and yet it comes out today that Rhule picked Baylor over them. Not sure they go so hard after Rhule last night if Kelly was still realistic.

The fatalist in me says that he asked them to hold off announcing until he gets back from the coach's meeting in NYC and informs the players.
