Fred Gaskin a 4star athlete projected at safety

We have no idea on coaches nor players since so many are new. So it will be a huge question mark until we see them on the field.
Im hoping to see better play specially defensively and that we pull out a win.
But that just me, I expect to win every games, that’s why the last three years have been horrific

It doesn't quite work that way. FSU assign it's rights to the ACC. The ACC sold them to ESPN.
FSU will negotiate a fee to buy back their rights. Hard to imagine Purdue @ Florida State on the ACC Network, right?
Besides, if it were that easy, why hasn't any other school done that already. FSU, Clemson, Miami, etc would be LOOONG gone if that is all it took.It will be interesting to see how it works. This could be a way that ESPN gets access to BigTen games since they own the rights to FSU and Clemson home games until 2036. If as you said ACC sold those rights to ESPN.
ESPN would then have to not penalize the ACC contract for FSU and Clemson moving. Thus FSU and Clemson would just be paying exit fees to ACC since they wouldn’t be breaking GOR and the conference isn’t losing any tv money.
Question is, would ACC then add at least two to replace them. This could be interesting for the Bulls

Has it only been twice? Oh yeah, I guess I included 2016 when the B12 failed to add any teams and also Rutgers winning the B10 lottery in 2014. I'm questioning why our value is minimized now when we have so many positives to bring to the table!
We have many positives and have won in past. But let’s be realistic we are horrible in football and basketball lately, for a conference like the B12 or PAC that is reeling and needs names that will bolster the way people look at it, adding USF at 1-11 and with 4 wins in last three years would be a PR nightmare.
We need to win this year, so we at least have the semblance that we are on our way up

There is may not be many celebrations , if the defense doesn't take a major step forward.
Where is Oregon and Utah? The conference is an upgrade in travel, academics, and exposure.
I was painting the worst scenario for the PAC losing Washington,Oregon,Utah and the Arizona schools. Even with that outlook if invited as I showed USF would be stupid to turn down.

USF can’t be choosy at this point even a depleted PAC would have better known schools academically and athletically and have better pay outs. So even a PAC with
West: Oregon State, Washington State, Cal, Stanford, SDSU, UNLV
East: Colorado State, SMU, Rice,Tulane,Memphis,USF
Would be a Yes in my book. If the ACC eventually loses FSU, Miami, Clemson etc. we could end up in some mixture of the two.
But in both cases it would be better than where we are now or would be if more AAC schools were raided and we stayed waiting for ACC implosion.

I don't know. Oregon and Washington are probably waiting for a Big 10 invite; which I think is likely in my opinion at some point. It will be interesting to see what teams like Utah, Arizona State, and Arizona decide to do.
Don't like seeing this since it means the Big 12 is looking West and makes USF to the Big 12 less likely
True. But if they fill up with PAC schools there is less likely they could add ACC schools when those moves happen.
-
That moves changes nothing for both leagues. Now if they were adding Oregon and Washington those would be huge moves.

College Hoops also reported that USF will play Loyola Chicago in Thanksgiving Tournament in Atlanta. Dates and times to be announced

Defense will decide how far we go in 2023. USF will face three of the top 10 returning QBs in passing yards, including the #1 WKU QB

Victoria Blasigh incoming freshmen averaged 20.3 pts per game playing for Italy in the FIBA U19 World Cup. Third leading scorer in Tournament. Her team has been eliminated after 4 games
Carla Brito playing for Spain is avg 12.8 pts and 5.3 RBs in 4 games. Spain is undefeated after 4 games and is playing in the Quarterfinals

I like the defensive players he is signing so far. Reminds me of Schellenberger when he started at UM. Fast, hard hitting kids that were a bit undersized to the big names schools but that were being pursued by the middle rung schools from big conferences.

I will be going to more games than I have been able to since I left Tampa.
Airfare and hotel booked for WKU, UAB and Memphis, while working on another!
Tickets purchased for WKU and UAB
Need to get some updated Bulls gear.
Hope to meet you all out at these games...still working on a home game trip...
Plan to be at UAB since that’s closer than home games for me now

It will take winning consistently for a few years. But here is the thing, I was there when SunDome first opened and we were decent during Lee Rose years playing in SunBelt and we had good attendance. I think 7k per game is doable.

9 hours ago, Brad said:I was thinking this morning about how many of the recruits USF is trying to pull in weren't around for the start of the program and likely only have a span of maybe 5-10 years knowing anything about the Bulls which means they may know little about the founding, the growth years, but hopefully remember the last Willie year and the frustrating, but successful, first Strong year. They don't know it can be done. But it made me think how different these kids are from my kids, and other fans, who have been inundated with Bulls experience, history and knowledge for a couple decades.
So anyway, I thought, yeah, I'm a dinosaur and I remember when the program was approved, practiced for a year, played Kentucky Wesleyan and all the fun that went with massive growth.
I've never done a demographics survey but tripped over a report today. Before I share it, it's fair to say that as the program grew, so did this site. The site also crashed and burned due to traffic during those early years - many times. So the data may be missing some things when we converted over to our current host.
Anyway, I saw this report and wondered, how many people that were here for the (near) beginning (mid 2000, but we really opened in 8/1999) and still check in?
I was a bit surprised that here in the dead of summer we had a pretty good group that had been around at least 20+ years BUT STILL checking in on their Bulls! These incredible Bulls fans have been here 20+ years and checked in within the last two months:
@WoolyBully, @Bullumni, @smazza, @bullsfangw, @bullsmania, @Cubanbull, @ZeroBullChip, @E.T., @The Sheriff, @USFDan, @dabull80, @RickyTheBull, @OrlandoBull, @T-Man, @Essency, @NJBull, @Dr.Brahma, @lotsofbull99, @10yrbull, @72bull, @Big_Hairy_Bull, @puc86, @Bulls 1, @TyBull, @CoolRod97, @Educabull, @rich.sessums, @Bull Matrix, @90Knight, @O-Bull, @bullpop, @MechanicalBull, @84Bull and @CyberBull. All of these members here for 20+ years and probably BULLS much longer than that!
I honor these members in a special way. We're all a little "special" being Bulls fans after the turbulent times. It was easy to sign up to a fans' site back then, it's harder these days. These guys have documented fandom for more than two decades, and I hope more will join that group.
You know I am nostalgic and I often think about the past and the fun and winning, and now I look back at these members and honor them for sticking with the program and TBP.
Cheers!
You should be the one honored for establishing the site and sticking with it thru the good and bad times.
I agree that meeting many in person, as we did in El Paso was great. I still have the big jug of craft beer that I won at that event, sans beer of course lol.
I have a strong feeling good times are on the way very soon and we will have more jumping on the bandwagon as it normally happens.
My grandfather taught me from a young age, that struggles makes you tougher and that bad times do not last, don’t dwell on past mistakes, learn from them and move on.
Go Bulls!!!

We will go as far as both lines can carry us. If they play well we will do well. If they struggle we will struggle.
That first game will tell us a lot

63 overall and leading the AAC. Sounds good to me.
Where did we end up on transfer portal rankings after losing all those players and drawing in these other guys?
Most of our transfers weren’t regraded so didn’t count in scoring so didn’t enter ranking.
But Golesh is doing very good job so far. Now let’s win on field and get them signed- 1

USF has now 13 commits and leads the AAC and at #63 Overall .

I can promise you that's not what it means lol they're gonna need Southern California but for some reason have decided they need to lock down their media deal before sending invites.
I think SDSU is a lock. But I think until their media deal is completed, they won’t vote on adding anyone. At the end I think SDSU will negotiate with MWC and get out for 20-25 millions. The reality will be that neither SDSU nor MWC would want it to drag on and have them stay until 2024-25 season. Specially since MWC will be working on their new tv deal and would need to have their replacement aboard.

Rivalries develop over time. Who knows if we play them enough it may develop. As of now they are just a Florida team on our schedule. Right now as a fan I just want us to win this conference on a consistent basis. Until that happens those saying well it sucks and the bottom is bad, well we ARE the bottom. So I want to win them all.

I think ESPN is behind it once again. Since they have the ACC schools GOR until 2036. They can technically keep FSU home games rights if they go BigTen. So they are in a way buying themselves into BigTen content they didn’t have. Now they will probably have to add two replacements and still pay ACC same contract amount they were with FSU and Clemson.
