Louisville probably did things in the most classiest ways possible when they joined the ACC. I believe they announced their plans to leave Big East and then they were later invited by the ACC. However even know they didn’t announce that they pretty much knew the ACC invite was coming. Same thing goes for the ACC schools. They have until 8/15 to notify the ACC that they are leaving. I believe we will probably only hear about two schools leaving if the rumors are true. I’m thinking it is FSU & Clemson but I had them getting SEC invites not Big Ten invites so I’m puzzled now…

I think ESPN is behind it once again. Since they have the ACC schools GOR until 2036. They can technically keep FSU home games rights if they go BigTen. So they are in a way buying themselves into BigTen content they didn’t have. Now they will probably have to add two replacements and still pay ACC same contract amount they were with FSU and Clemson.

It doesn't quite work that way.  FSU assign it's rights to the ACC.  The ACC sold them to ESPN.

FSU will negotiate a fee to buy back their rights. Hard to imagine Purdue @ Florida State on the ACC Network, right?

Besides, if it were that easy, why hasn't any other school done that already.  FSU, Clemson, Miami, etc would be LOOONG gone if that is all it took.

It will be interesting to see how it works. This could be a way that ESPN gets access to BigTen games since they own the rights to FSU and Clemson home games until 2036. If as you said ACC sold those rights to ESPN.

ESPN would then have to not penalize the ACC contract for FSU and Clemson moving. Thus FSU and Clemson would just be paying exit fees to ACC since they wouldn’t be breaking GOR and the conference isn’t losing any tv money.

Question is, would ACC then add at least two to replace them. This could be interesting for the Bulls

Has it only been twice?  Oh yeah, I guess I included 2016 when the B12 failed to add any teams and also Rutgers winning the B10 lottery in 2014.  I'm questioning why our value is minimized now when we have so many positives to bring to the table!

We have many positives and have won in past. But let’s be realistic we are horrible in football and basketball lately, for a conference like the B12 or PAC that is reeling and needs names that will bolster the way people look at it, adding USF at 1-11 and with 4 wins in last three years would be a PR nightmare.

We need to win this year, so we at least have the semblance that we are on our way up

There is may not be  many celebrations  , if the defense doesn't take a major step forward.

Where is Oregon and Utah? The conference is an upgrade in travel, academics, and exposure.

I was painting the worst scenario for the PAC losing Washington,Oregon,Utah and the Arizona schools. Even with that outlook if invited as I showed USF would be stupid to turn down.

  5. USF can’t be choosy at this point even a depleted PAC would have better known schools academically and athletically and have better pay outs. So even a PAC with

West: Oregon State, Washington State, Cal, Stanford, SDSU, UNLV

    East: Colorado State, SMU, Rice,Tulane,Memphis,USF

Would be a Yes in my book. If the ACC eventually loses FSU, Miami, Clemson etc. we could end up in some mixture of the two.

But in both cases it would be better than where we are now or would be if more AAC schools were raided and we stayed waiting for ACC implosion.

I don't know. Oregon and Washington are probably waiting for a Big 10 invite; which I think is likely in my opinion at some point. It will be interesting to see what teams like Utah, Arizona State, and Arizona decide to do.

Don't like seeing this since it means the Big 12 is looking West and makes USF to the Big 12 less likely

True. But if they fill up with PAC schools there is less likely they could add ACC schools when those moves happen.

  7. Victoria Blasigh incoming freshmen averaged 20.3 pts per game playing for Italy in the FIBA U19 World Cup. Third leading scorer in Tournament. Her team has been eliminated after 4 games

Carla Brito playing for Spain is avg 12.8 pts and 5.3 RBs in 4 games. Spain is undefeated after 4 games and is playing in the Quarterfinals

63 overall and leading the AAC. Sounds good to me.

Where did we end up on transfer portal rankings after losing all those players and drawing in these other guys?

Most of our transfers weren’t regraded so didn’t count in scoring so didn’t enter ranking.
But Golesh is doing very good job so far. Now let’s win on field and get them signed

I can promise you that's not what it means lol they're gonna need Southern California but for some reason have decided they need to lock down their media deal before sending invites.

I think SDSU is a lock. But I think until their media deal is completed, they won’t vote on adding anyone. At the end I think SDSU will negotiate with MWC and get out for 20-25 millions. The reality will be that neither SDSU nor MWC would want it to drag on and have them stay until 2024-25 season. Specially since MWC will be working on their new tv deal and would need to have their replacement aboard.
