  1. We have a weak schedule and that will hurt in any at large consideration. But as the previous poster explained, it was the kind of schedule that a new coach, with a complete new roster, from a bad previous years records needed.

With that said, I think for USF this year has been a success and here are the real chances of they continue winning.

Win AAC Tournament- go to NCAA

Continue winning but don’t win AAC Tournament- NIT

Either would had been unthinkable at the start of season

All the ACC has to do is ask WVU to join & they will say yes due to geography and they save tons more on travel. Plus it brings the backyard brawl back to a conference. OK St will probably end up in the SEC at some point imo

OKSt has little value for SEC. They got that state’s big fish already. I would say that in the SEC’s eyes the following are ahead of OKState.

    1. UNC, Virginia

    2. NCST, Virginia Tech

    3. West Virginia, Kansas or Kansas State

The SEC will be more attracted to the big name schools in adjacent states before going after OKState in fact FSU, Clemson would be more attractive if they were going to add a school already in their footprint

I'm curious to see who on our future schedules buys out gams.

    1. I can see Notre Dame buying out the game in Tampa (or both games). I think stadium size is an issue, and we may have to agree to Ray Jay to keep that game. They want to play in front of their fans, and will want a bunch of tickets.

    2. NC State has already told us they may have to buy out the game, per ACC requirements. (which may lead to Miami and Louisville buying out too) - as the ACC has told their member not to play any more road games at G5 schools. Of course, the ACC has bigger issues to worry about.

    3. I'm not sure we play both games at Alabama if we keep getting better, I could see them buying out the last one.

This list obviously changes if our conference changes.

I would be surprised if the Notre Dame game is not moved to RJS. I don’t see them playing at our new OCS.

traditional big men that play with their back to the basket don't open up anything. they clog the lanes and don't allow for penetration.

unless they can run to the rim on a pick and roll or knock down the three they are pretty much worthless on offense.

My point was not about big men opening lanes but about needing outside three point shooting to do so. Having little inside games we need drives to the basket as the poster stated, but you can’t do that if you aren’t a threat from outside.

I agree this team has been fun to watch. Need a real big. I also wish we would drive to the hoop more. IMO this team takes too many 3's. When they are off they hurt themselves. Reid also needs to shoot more. Kid is good.

This team has no big guy inside. It needs to open up court to allow those drives. You need three point shooting to open it up.

Right now we are #8 in conference in three point shooting at 32.9%,I remember when we used to be dead last in NCAA

We are #11 in league in number of three points taken, so it isn’t like we are going crazy with them.

This team will live and die on whether it can force turnovers and hit from outside. If it can’t hit from outside, there will be no room for any drives to the hoops.

Still way more exciting to watch than any team Gregory had even with more talent..

  6. Well, I for one enjoy watching this team play more than I have in past years. We still need more inside players but overall I think Coach has done a great job with what he has and you can see the improvement since start of season. We finally have a team that can actually shoot FTs and is exciting to watch on offense.

I feel better about USF basketball than I have in past.
