So if we only win 5 will Taggert get canned? Harlen won't be happy without a bowl game.

6 wins and a bowl game or bust...5 and he is fired.

I have no idea what to expect I think the defense should be good just worried about the offense. Flowers scares me at qb.

Flowers throwing the ball reminds me when Walter Payton used to through the ball on trick plays....same deep floaters/air under the ball. Payton was successful due to the surprise element.   Flowers.....we shall see.  Hope I'm wrong.

Agree, CBs & Safeties live for those rainbow passes. But I will say the couple I saw him throw were fairly "safe", and the timing was surprisingly good (WR didn't have to slow).

Great thread.  I second cophbulls' post for the HOF.

As for my outlook on the season, I'll be watching, possibly even traveling to one of the games in MD, but I'm not holding my breath for us to get bowl-eligible.  The outlook is bleak, imo.

I found 6, whether we can hold on to them and not let them get stolen from us is the real question.

I think it's possible if we overachieve we can find a 7th, or at least hold onto 6.

Realistically, I think 1-2 get stolen and we end up with 4-5 come December...

I can find 6 home tailgate menu wins easily.  Other than that, I won't speculate until I see game 4--that is unless we lose game 1 and/or win game 2 or 3.

Agree with "bleak", but TBPH I'd be pretty satisfied to see a ballsy team that brings it every game--I miss that a lot. But submissive blowout losses, esp in Oviedo, would spell doom for the current admin...rightfully so.

FAMU - Rattler Bites, bleh = LOSS

FSU - Peyote and Horse Meat aren't appetizing, so crab legs it is! = WIN

UMD - Turtle Soup is not my thing, but Maryland Fried Chicken is = WIN

Memphis - PETA shuns fried Tiger, but Memphis style ribs taste like WIN

Syracuse - SU always seems to be a noon game = Mimosas (oranges) = WIN

UCONN = Husky...hot dogs? Count it as a WIN

SMU - Mustangs...not into Horse Meat = LOSS

Navy - It's illegal to eat the military so we'll go with Fish Fry = WIN

ECU - Pirates taste like ghey (not that I'd know), but Purple Kool-Aid/Grape Soda = WIN

Temple - Hooters = WIN

Cincy - Bearcat is probably disgusting, but since we don't play Louisville and they're close enough, KFC it is! = WIN

UCF - Kaniggit tears are delicious but highly riddled with STDs, so faux Medieval Times turkey legs will suffice = WIN

Looks like we're 10-2 on tailgates this year. Reason enough for me to get some season tix.

I think for Cincy you'll have to go with some sort of chili on spaghetti in honor of SkyLine Chili.  And that, good sir, is a loss.

For UConn you could eat Vietnamese, which while eating dog may be a faux pas, I'll still call it a win.

9-3 on tail gates.

Outstanding summary, but SMU might could move to the W with some Dallas-style brisket BBQ. yum.

For ECU, no rum!? Aaarrrrgh. ;)

The new Cincinnati standard is TOM+CHEE as seen on Shark Tank.

For Syracuse we do "Chicken Riggies".  Here is a link to one recipe. http://www.food.com/recipe/utica-chicken-riggies-358768 We've got one that we've doctored up over the years.
