Is he a good D coordinator?

slowdown Posted December 8, 2014 Group: Member Topic Count: 5 Content Count: 993 Reputation: 121 Days Won: 0 Joined: 06/05/2007 Share Posted December 8, 2014 Doesnt UF have a DC opening? Im willing to bet mcelwain gets him before taggart will. If they want him UF hired a coach who would keep Durkin and TRob, as they are under multi year deals, and have done excellent work. UF isn't going to be looking for a new DC unless Durkin leaves on his own.

So is Taggart going to be making this hire? The next coach must be Harlan's guy, so I bet this is out of Taggarts hands. But then how could Taggart and a coordinator work together if Taggart knows he may take his job? This is a mess...

If the specific firings were initiated by Harlan, not Taggart himself, but he wasn't prepared to let CWT have 2 years with new ones, he should have just cleaned house now ... Would be nice to hear the real scoop on how this all went down.

So the AD is going to dictate a coordinator to CWT who, should the season implode, would become the new head coach? If the season implodes why would you want anyone with that failure? Also, seems like a conflict of interest for the coordinator. Welcome to "As USF football turns..."
