Wouldnt mind chuck b if they could get a D line and go back to 4-3.

And throw in a **** blitz every once in a while. That soft zone has got to go. We got gashed by our conference mates a lot of the time on 3rd down because of that stupid defensive scheme.

The offense needs to be fix in the worst way. But we have weapons on offense that they can work with. But we truly need a better DC. The players we have on defense can work for this team. Wally have done more with lesser talent.

Defense did their job against many teams this season, particularly in the second half.

Great against Wisconsin, UCF, Maryland, etc.

Their problem is they get tired cause the offense can't stay on the field

My problem with defense also is that soft zone...Holman tore that up yesterday on third down.

Like said if we had a crappy offense it would be a upgrade over what we have and defense could rest up some.

The defense carried the team a few times this year. The O never pulled their weight any game except Tulsa.

It has to be incredibly difficult to coordinate a D with an offense so putrid on your side.

If they try to make him the scapegoat and fired just him I would consider not renewing my seats.

If Harlan is 100% behind Taggart then let him keep the whole staff one more year at least for recruiting purposes.

At this point, we can do nothing but wait and see how next year plays out.

After some consideration, I believe this to be the best answer of the thread.

2014 Defense now has the record in most Total Yards Allowed surpassing Cosh's defense of 2012.  This defense was the worst in history for USF but he also had to play many RS and true freshman.

Thank you for the bolded part, which is key to the stat.

Lots of young players on those first teams in the late 90s too.
