For those not watching, Vandy produced something from the head of the NCAA SEC officials saying they had permission to do it ...... Again, BULL****!

FIFY. Different rules for them

Maybe we should ask the head of the AAC officials if we can only be penalized 1 yard for Delay of Game instead of 5 when we host NCSU and Md?

Jersey name doesn't effect outcome of game. Teams should not be penalized.

Also, these SEC network announcers suck.

I thiught only the service academies had an exemption that allows their slogans or patriotic slogans on their uniforms, as well if a team is utilizing the wounded warrior theme, they can use the slogans.

There is a waiver exception for individual games.

They are now ripe for headlines:

Anchor Down...INDEED!

Anchor Down?  Entire ship down!

Commodores go down with the ship...Anchor Down!

I think this is BS, but really hope we aren't distracted at USF, and try the Home Team tags again.  Didn't like it then; don't like it now.  Just my meaningless opinion on the topic...

I think the issue is USF wanted to put it on their jersey for all (hopefully) 13 games. We might see it for a single game

For what it's worth, Mississippi State was told they could not put "Hail State" on the backs of their jerseys... so it looks like it's not all SEC teams that get this kind of permission.

Anyone else not see this score on ESPN NCAA "all scores" page? It's a conspiracy man!

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
