On top of that the grey on black was an issue for the refs. Maybe it's how Vandy is trying to skirt the O'Brannon rule. Is that you on TV? Can't read the number.

AAC keep ripping P5 teams a new one then Areco needs to get on his high horse for inclusion and stop ***** footing around and acting like he's going to upset someone.

From espn-

"Vanderbilt introduced new uniforms that almost resulted in a loss of timeouts. The Commodores had their team slogan, "Anchor Down" written on the back of their jerseys, where a player's name usually appears. Early in the second quarter, officials said the presence of the slogan made the jerseys impermissible and that Vanderbilt would be charged a timeout each quarter they were worn. Later that quarter, the officials said Vanderbilt wouldn't be penalized at all. Vanderbilt athletic department spokesman Larry Leathers said the jerseys were approved by the Southeastern Conference."

Why would you want the AAC to approve our ridiculous idea? I hope they don't.

This.

I do like the idea of 1-yard false start penalties though...  :roflmao:

And sure enough, at the start of the second quarter in Nashville, the officials announced that Vandy had lost a timeout. That's when things got truly bizarre: ESPN reported that Vanderbilt had received an e-mail from Steve Shaw, the SEC's coordinator of officials, approving the uniforms ... and that Commodore officials were rushing to get a printout of the email onto the field and into the hands of the referee.

Un-frackin-beLIEVable!

I was JUST now watching the replay on ESPN3, stepped outside to take the trash out to the truck as they were driving by, come back, and...

ESPN PULLED THE GAME FROM THE REPLAY LIST

My screen had nothing but an error page, when I reloaded the page, I got nothing but the SEC splash screen. Here's the link for proof.

It's as if the game never happened. WTF ESPN??????

I can just picture them running around the newsroom, hands a-wringing, arms a-flailing, tears a-falling, "WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO?!??!?!?"

CALM DOWN FOLKS, we're going to IGNORE IT. It never happened. Come down off the ledge, Fred.
