"Also, check out the diversity below... as in not diverse at all. Let's at least hope we can find some non-white guy names to surface at some point. I'd love to see us make a hire that looks like America,"

Had to stop reading there....

I wonder if Collin's met our head coaches?

Coaches aren't administration, different level on the food chain.

I feel like we had an AD once who wasn't white. Can't remember his name...

I think it was an ex-Buc DE .... Booker Reese, maybe?

And as far as diversity with this hire, Keith Tribble should be available.

Let's see.....USF has a woman president, an african-american head MBB coach, an african-american head FB coach, a latino head WBB coach, a latino head BB coach.....  Seem's to me that diversity would require that we hire a white male as AD since the presidency and all the major sports are sprinkled with a cornocopia of diversity hires.  Shoot, maybe we can get a white FTM transgender to be USF's AD, wouldn't that be special and speak to our diversity as a University?

Just to be sure, you do realize that this is one of those rare moments that we're in complete agreement, right?? ..... Except for the transgender recommendation. You're on your own there.

I do.  My comment was a follow up to yours, not a counter comment to yours.  I know you're not used to that.  And yes, I'm on my own with the transgender recommendation, made obviously in jest, hence the face plant at the end.

Honestly, I may be warming up to that transgender idea, though .... Remember, there's no such thing as bad publicity.

Content of their resume, drive, plans. This is all that matters. Not what is in their pants or what shade their epidermis is. If Collins feelings are hurt, he can pitch a name to the search firm.

The bottom line is getting USF to start winning. I dont care what race, gender, or sexual orientation that candidate is. As long as the new AD is the best choice is what should only matter.

Not sure if Danny White of Buffalo is still a candidate but if he was to get  the job we all would know who the next men's head basketball at USF would be next season.

Since his dad is the AD at Duke and he wants his son to look good so he is going to send Coach K to work for Danny at USF?  Makes sense to me.  Let's make it make it happen.

I mean, nepotism hasn't worked that well for us before...

Where was the nepotism?  I must've missed it.

This was brought up back when Skip was here ... Some are not really familiar with the definition of nepotism.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
