No 1 priority for new AD should be getting us into the P5. We are going to lag behind if we don't get those revenues.

 

Agreed on that. But I hope the AD does not come out and say it to all like the new Cincy AD did. Knowing USF, they will make sure to teach the new AD to keep things underwraps instead of making the entire university have an egg on face.

I like the hire if the rumors are true. Harlen's strength and background is fund raising and basketball. Both areas USF will need to improve in. This is very much a move to quickly try and fix the basketball program first which is obviously priority #1 for any AD given USF"s current situation.

 

I guarantee you that "fixing" the basketball program will not be the #1 priority for the new AD .... Just more evidence that you have no clue about USF athletics.

 

 

 

Pretty sure it's going to be #1 increasing donations and #2 increasing season ticket sales

 

Which raises an interesting question, where's the indifference point between # of extra football season tickets sold v. basketball? Where do we make more money, and by how much? There's an interesting data study in there somewhere.

 

 

Exactly ... and it will/should be focused on football, right now. Short of hiring a huge splash name, nothing is going to jump start that area for hoops. It's going to take a couple of years of sustained success there to truly build up season tix ... and even then, it's not a given.

The current state of the BB program is more evidence of Doug Woolards lack of Leadership as AD during his time here at USF.  Another USF coach needs to be fired and paid to leave (Stan ,Skip)  After both received raises.    Woolard is a clown and horrible AD, One of the worst at the D1 level and should had been fired years ago.  

 

Those who support him must love watching one of the worst Athletic Programs at the D 1 level(Def the worst in the American Athletic Conference).   Find it humorous that so many on here were defending Dougie for so long, just as they are defending Stan now and defended Skip as well before wiser people prevailed.  

 

 

Wake UP BULLS FANS.  Time to stop settling for participation trophies, Time to put pressure on Athletics to produce and compete on a yearly basis, Not a fluke season.

The reality is that you cant increase season ticket sales or donations without winning. And you cant win without hiring the right staff and coaching. And that is the bottom line cause Stone Cold Bull said so!!!!!
