As has been mentioned, a single fumbled snap against McNeese and Eveld starts in East Lansing.

He threw the ball accurately and confidentially. He and Andre were clicking well. It could have been due to a lack of pass rush/bad secondary play. I trust that the young man has responded well to coaching and additional reps.
BullTiger Posted August 25, 2013 Group: Member Topic Count: 23 Content Count: 529 Reputation: 45 Days Won: 1 Joined: 08/16/2008 Share Posted August 25, 2013 Congrats and good luck to Floyd! As has been said, I trust CWT's decision as a coach and former QB. I was wondering whether the performance of Floyd last year, especially snap issues, was more a result of lack of reps allowed in practice by the previous coaching staff? Wasn't Floyd getting ALL the reps once BJ and Bobby went down? How many more would it take to learn how to complete the most basic task you can ask of a QB? It's like saying a guy has all the tools to be a great catcher...he can hit, he can throw, he calls a good game, just has a little trouble catching pitches. I like the analogy, but I would change it a little. See what you said made it sound like Floyd can't throw the ball because that's a QB's primary task like catching for a catcher. I think a slightly better analogy is a catcher that can do all of those things but can't squat. I think a QB that can't take a snap is like a catcher that can't squat. Both may be great at everything else, even their actual job, but it doesn't really matter. I hope Floyd has any past problems worked out. Hopefully having a couple past QB's as coaches have helped him with the basics.

Where are you now? Hopefully this kid can take a snap and if we do win a game our victory formation is not from the shotgun. 4 and 8 this season. Go Bulls! Feel free to link to a thread pushing for Floyd over BJ.

He's probably our future, but clearly not good enough to play right now.

To beat MSU we will need all 100%.
