The OCS is currently in the long-term plan for the university, but until a certain amount of funds are raised, there will be no official 'plan' for building it. Which is NOT what this board wants to hear! We want to hear that it's the numero uno priority for the University and that the Put That Thang Together committee is meeting on a weekly basis to ensure that OCS is front and center of all else. We're just not down with interpretation. We are exceptionally literal in our parsing of statements from Fowler Ave.main priority should be getting us in another conf, then comes the ocs

Doug Woolard went on record saying when we DO build one, it will mimic Minnesota's new stadium. I don't believe he said it would mimic Minnesota's Stadium. He used their stadium as an example of the financial outlay that would occur if we built a stadium. If we want to mimic a stadium, then we should do would Louisville did and build in stages. We do not need a stadium larger than 45,000 seats right now.

Plain and Simple. Its like needing and wanting something Two different things. Simple concept but hard for many of our fans to understand. We will NOT build a tin box like UCF , our fan base is too spoiled and wont buy into it. We expect chairs with Seatbacks, not benches, we want amenities ect..... Conference affiliation is most important. Win, Get into a so called Power conference than the stadium discussion and plans will heat up and take shape. The ones who complain the most are prob the students who had to have a larger student section only to NOT Fill the one they originally had. Start showing up for ALL the games (for the full games) and show that the stadium is something you will support and be in it for ALL GAMES. They are the same ones complaining they cant make it to the Bulls Walk because they don't want to leave the tailgate for a few minutes to walk around the other end of the stadium. Suck it up. When they do build it I would like to see something the in the 45-50k range that could be expanded to 65k+ in the future. And something built with acoustics in mind so it is loud like what Oregon has. Something that will give our team a real home advantage.

Here is what Baylor is building... its very state of the art. http://www.baylor-stadium.com/the-look/index.html

It's all a pipe dream right now. There is way too much up for grabs in college football right now. Without winning seasons the OCS argument is kind of mute. We're fighting for relevance and a stadium isn't going to make us relevant all of the sudden. Ray Jay is great for now.

It makes no fianancial sense to do it. If the morons at the Citrus Bowl had treated UCF with some semblence of partnership it is possible that UCF would still be playing at The Dump. In the long run I don't care what you say about BHNS it is a world better than the Citrus Bowl. Put USF in the same dilemna right now and you would be facing down your own version of The Wok. If they are financially forced to do it USF would build a BHNS type stadium on campus. There is no money to build anything better. Otherwise they will stay where they are. Partnering to help build a different off campus stadium is just plain stupid. I beleive Baylor has one of the biggest enodowments in the country and 100s of years of rich oil field alumni. That type of building is a pipedream for USF

Houston has received a lot of press for their new facilities, so a new venue for the Owls might be just what Temple needs as they enter the AAC in 2013. Temple president, Neil Theobald thinks it's a great idea, noting that almost of every program would like to have a stadium right on campus. http://articles.philly.com/2013-08-26/sports/41446173_1_temple-ties-football-stadium-matt-rhule
