Maybe they thought nobody would notice or care .... Apparently did it to one of Depue's kids while at WKU but it's different when it's a hometown kid as far as the media goes.

Lolz at least they fixed the mistake. Nothing wrong with honesty with recruits which is what taggart believes in.

Hard to believe an All Hillsborough lineman isn't good enough for us.  We talk about all the talent here and the kid made 1st team.  I know nothing about systems, schemes, etc. but one would think he must be fairly talented and could learn something new.

 

 

He was 1st team on the Times All-Suncoast team which is an even broader base .... but no offers besides ours must mean something, though.

Trip, it could be because his mother claimed he stopped going to camps, once he verbally accepted. In effect, he pulled himself off the market, which cave your visibility.

Maybe he never had his offer pulled in the first place and was just told "you're not in our plans." CWT gets a ton of flack because of the story and calls the kid and tells him you misunderstood, you can come, just don't plan on actually playing. The family/kid don't want to look like idiots so they say the offer has been reoffered. Once again, we're never going to know.

Thought of that, too .... but his exposure during the year, playoffs, All Suncoast team selection thought may have drawn some interest even though committed. Attempts to steal to go on all the time.

Yep .... Bottom line, the kid know has a choice.

I cant imagine he would still come. How do you go to a school where you know they really dont want you and have told you as much?

Glad to see they righted this ship, even if it was in reaction to what happened. Showed me the staff is listening to the community and wants to keep a good relationship with our local schools.
