This post is garbage. We simply don't have the talent to win some of these games. Our receivers, running backs, linebackers, tight ends and db's are mediocre at best. Nate Allen's tackle attempt on Cinci's backup qb on that long run was just sickening. Jerome Murphy's play throughout the night was atrocious. We have a young, inexperienced qb and nobody on offense to help him out.

The talent is the same at cincy,

Compare the last few NFL drafts, they beg to differ...........

Talent gets you drafted coaching is what happens when you get to the league.

1) Gruden won the SB with Dungy's team...what did the player's do that Gruden recruited...oh yeah NOTHING! and now they are 0-5 and lost 9 straight dating back to last year.

2) Young program IS still an excuse. We are still playing with players that are not as disciplined and don't have as much potential as the other players that were picked up by the BIG FL schools and other BIG programs.

3)This top 25 recruitng class will not make a significant impact until 2 years from now.

4) Leave CJL alone. He is doing his best with the resources that he has. He doesn't have nearly the same recruiting budget or facilities that other BIG schools have, so he makes due with what he has pretty **** well.

Leavitt's not going anywhere.

You dont fire coaches for having a 5-1 record and losing to a top 10 program.

If we finish 5-7, then you may have some ground, but keep the delusions to yourselves for a few weeks.

we are not talking about competing with elite programs. we are talking about competing with cincy who has beaten us 4 straight times even though they rank below us every year in recruiting. They also practice in their own stadium because they have no practice facilities. I'm tired of all the same excuses for why Leavitt can't compete in the BE. we are not in the SEC.

We are 5-1 and people want to fire our coach?  After a game where the players clearly let us down?  As talented as BJ is this was only his 3rd start and he certainly missed many open receivers (on passes and other cases even seeing them) and opportunities to create positive yardage if he would have just tucked it upfield instead of running east and west..  The WR's also dropped passes on key plays and the D failed to squeeze a couple of big INTs.  The players were put in a position to make plays and they didn't take advantage of the opportunities.  The penalties were certainly ugly but despite them we still had a chance to win the game.

This isn't just because of 5-1 this year.  It's a combination of the past few years of finishing with a mediocre team.  We beat 3 cupcakes and go .500 against real teams.  MEDIOCRE!!!!

Firing Leavitt is the only way that the Bulls will ever be able to get over the hump.  Leavitt is an awful coach and he is even worse when it comes to dealing with the media.  They can rename the st pete bowl the USF bowl if they continue to stick with leavitt.

Let me explain something.  This is not just because they are 5-1 and lost to a top 10.  This is a culmination of years of not winning a big east championship.  You can have hope all you want that they can still win the big east but be realistic people.  Cincy would have to lose 2 games (possible but not likely) AND we'd have to finish 6-0 (not happening).  Therefore, we have another year of a crap bowl.

And if usf can get lucky and somehow win the big east I will back down but it's not happening.  Why are you people satisfied with 7, 8, or 9 win seasons in the big east?  This isn't the SEC, we are not playing powerhouse programs.  Leavitt's teams have won big games but never win the games that count most.

I keep telling myself to believe that they will finally breakthrough but every year there is no growth, what progress have we made in the past 4 years?  

Our recruiting "supposedly" gets better each year yet we still finish with an average or slightly above-average team.

You guys can love on leavitt all you want but the fact is his teams are not getting it done and when we play in the pizza or meineke bowl again I hope you all enjoy it.
