Well that's what you get with leavitt.  Pizza or Meineke.  Have we done better?  Maybe the beat down at the sun bowl when we were overrated?  Very impressive.  While I hold higher expectations, you all can enjoy where we've been the past 4 years.

Like I said, you are pinning your argument on a fallacy that everyone that disagrees with you wants to go to the pizza bowl.  That's just plain ignorant...

This cliche of "higher expectations" is way overused on this board.  What does this mean really?  Does it mean the team's sucesses and/or failures are based on some message boarder's opionion?  That their goals and how they attain them will be evaluated by some couch potato??

I can understand that one would have higher expectations for their employees or their kids and holding them accountable for not meeting those expectations, but for a football team?  That baffles me.  There has to be more to one's life than that.

I can also understand that it is gut-wrenching to watch your favorite sports team lose, but to dwell over it for days dumbfounds me.

You're right.  I'm sure doug woolard is thrilled with our low-level bowl games each year!

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

    Michael Kelly
