Undisciplined (any accountability for these players?)

Terrible Play Calling (running the same plays that are NOT WORKING)

Mike Ford still on the bench (He should just transfer to a school that will use his talent)

Stupid mistakes (dropped passes, dropped interceptions, BJ trying to run around like crazy every play instead of staying in the pocket and throwing)

When is this university going to realize that Leavitt cannot take this team to the next level?

Leavitt is like Tony Dungy from the Bucs, they need a Gruden to take them to the next level.

All of you on here will defend this man to the death because he has been here from the start but are you truly satisfied in playing in crappy bowl games every year?  How many years will this go on until they get someone else?

Same story every year.  Start off great then tank it.  A Leavitt team will NEVER win the big east.  USF will be in the pizza or st. pete bowl this year.

i have been saying this for 10 years

but i was convinced usf was ready for prime time

We got beat by a better team.  Our expectations were up even though we basically have beaten teams that are bad.  We didn't have a true test of our team until last night.  And we now can see our weaknesses and work on them.

FIDO.

same weaknesses for 10 years

I agree we should fire him. After all didd you see JL drop that perfect bomb from BJ or what about when JL dropped the 4th and 3 pass or when he threw the interception because he totally misread the coverage. No wait, did you see JL get out run as he was trying to chase down some slow 4th string wanna be QB??? Yep - I so see why he should go!

a coach is responsible for his players.

did anybody tell the players to watch out for the draw??

did Leavitt put a power back in on 3rd and 3 and stuff it down their throats twice instead of having a 160 lb back in on short yardage situation??

as a coach, don't you want to be a little more conservative with a 3 time redshirt freshman starter especially when you get into scoring position and are averaging nearly 5 yards per carry?

Tressey recruited Collaros to play at cincy. did he not know the kid could run?force him to play to his weaknesses.

I'm with Cousin Ricky. I don't think he should be fired but he brought in new co-ordinators last year so he has 2 years to win the BE and then he should be gone. Anybody saying he needs time to recruit doesn't realize we have had better rated classes than cincy for 4 straight years and have lost to them 4 straight times.

I too am oft frustrated at the hot starts and mid-season slide, it is early for this post, f we lose 3 in a row maybe.  But my fear is should that happen, does anyone have any faith in the school to pay the money to get a better coach.  let's be serious.

This post is garbage. We simply don't have the talent to win some of these games. Our receivers, running backs, linebackers, tight ends and db's are mediocre at best. Nate Allen's tackle attempt on Cinci's backup qb on that long run was just sickening. Jerome Murphy's play throughout the night was atrocious. We have a young, inexperienced qb and nobody on offense to help him out.

The talent is the same at cincy, they are coached better though

Talk like this got the Bucs where they are now.

But the bucs were smart and realized they needed a coaching change because dungy was not getting them over the top, it's the same with leavitt

Sure, that worked out real well for the bucs.

True, he took Dungy's team to a superbowl.  But we went from 5 of 6 seasons in the post season, to not making it even to a wild card half of the next 5 seasons.  We became mediocre within a year.

There is more to college football than hiring coaches and players.  In college you have recruiting to worry about and lose 20% of your players annually.  Much different situation.  For the money we can pay, most likely we would go down not up with a diff coach.

Think Seth Greenberg.  Look at what he has done by going to a program with money etc...

Look at Rich Rod though as another example of where it can fail.  He did well with less at WVU, but now makes a ton and is mediocre.
