I am a little intrigued, a tad bit frustrated and then thoroughly bored reading this drivel. I can’t figure out if I want to hold him up on a pedestal or kick him in the balls, he has got a gift.

The ACC and Big 12 had 9 ranked teams ( 7 if you don't include FSU and Clemson) in the last poll of the year. Plenty of those teams could have ended up in the top 12 to get the playoff spot look at the projections. the acc and big 16 were one bid leagues last year. that was with texas , ou, etc. sorry but the sec and big 18 (and the tv networks)will make sure they get all the at large bids. He must be a great hedge fund manager. A true Bear if we speaking with market terms. But that is cool because we need some bears mixed in with the Bulls to keep the hype level more manageable. This just isn’t where we need to be, we can celebrate achievements without pretending like we are happy to be where we are. If we wanted a nice slow gingerly climb that got to take long periods of celebration we needed to start climbing the right direction earlier. It’s been over a decade of free fall, we’ve been lapped and people well behind us have passed us by, there remains no more time for complacency as this conference has become increasingly less desirable taking with it any supposed value of dominating it. The ncaa tournament is far more democratic and winning the aac doesn’t get you into it. The aac has hemorrhaged teams while the mwc has not, anyone pretending that winning the aac waltzes you into the playoffs is either lying to you or lying to themselves because all of the teams and circumstances they are citing are now gone. The best day to get out of the aac was the day it was formed and follows in sequence every day after that. The basketball team is doing their part and it’s time for the administration to stop failing them by putting them into a position where their wins matter. The football team also seems to have righted the course and we need to move from the reward for success being the ability to be slighted to one where we control our destiny.
