outliers. blown out and covid year.

last stand alone title was in 1995 before that 1936

yeah sign me up for winning a title once every 60 years....

at that rate they should get another one by 2055.

of course they have added some pretty tough programs recently.

name the last time south carolina won the sec

Expanded playoffs mean you don’t have to win the sec to get in, what it does not mean is that winning the aac does get you in

and yet I'd be willing to bet we make the playoffs before any of those teams do.

We very well can make the playoffs this year, doesn’t mean that’s a desirable position long term

didn't say I want to be here long term. certainly don't want to be a whipping boy either.

I think we can compete in ACC or even big 16.

I'm enjoying winning for once. I'm ok with aac for now.

I am not sure. Liberty ended being the top ranked non power 5 team last year. A good SMU team was beaten out. Than you still have to compete with the Mountain West. Really in order to make it to the playoffs you will need to be the top ranked Group of 5 conference champion (most years). I would prefer our chances in the Big 12 or the ACC, where you get multiple shots against ranked teams every year to prop up you resume

Every passing year this becomes closer to long term, no one else is left and we need out far sooner than later. Would making the playoffs next year be awesome? Absolutely. Does the aac have an easy path to the playoffs in any year? Absolutely not. Will the aac champion make the playoffs the majority of years? Absolutely not.  Would I trade the playoffs next season for getting called up to any higher league and going 0-12 next season? Absolutely.

Is it too early to call us winning a national title? 😁:04-rock:

It’s pretty simple math beyond the fact that actually competing when you get there is more likely with more resources

They said “My favorite memories as a USF fan are those where our teams have won at the level they were at.”

I never said anything about the level of our opponents. I can see why you misunderstood though. Go Bulls! 🤘
