I never said anything about the level of our opponents. I can see why you misunderstood though. Go Bulls! 🤘

Thanks I get it now, but before you said something I would have said it was impossible for anyone to read it any other way

I am not sure. Liberty ended being the top ranked non power 5 team last year. A good SMU team was beaten out. Than you still have to compete with the Mountain West. Really in order to make it to the playoffs you will need to be the top ranked Group of 5 conference champion (most years). I would prefer our chances in the Big 12 or the ACC, where you get multiple shots against ranked teams every year to prop up you resume

Big 16 and ACC will be one bid leagues.

ironically smu's two losses were against tcu and oklahoma. if they do what liberty did and not play anyone of note they would have been in. same with tulane if they had beaten smu.

Until it gets snatched away the aac is a 1/6 a bid league 1>1/6

Every passing year this becomes closer to long term, no one else is left and we need out far sooner than later. Would making the playoffs next year be awesome? Absolutely. Does the aac have an easy path to the playoffs in any year? Absolutely not. Will the aac champion make the playoffs the majority of years? Absolutely not.  Would I trade the playoffs next season for getting called up to any higher league and going 0-12 next season? Absolutely.

nah far from over. P2 will break off. probably take a few acc schools with them. we will move up and be a part of the best of the rest division

I have no doubt that you wouldn't mind going 0-12. From what I presume, you don't even go to the games.

and yet it's still easier for us to make the playoffs than a middle of the road acc or big 16 team

Who says if we join the big 12 or ACC that we will be middle of the road team? The ACC and Big 12 had 9 ranked teams ( 7 if you don't include FSU and Clemson) in the last poll of the year. Plenty of those teams could have ended up in the top 12 to get the playoff spot

It’s the beauty of living in hypotheticals you can pretend everything goes hypothetically right and you have to deal in hypotheticals to even begin the argument because the math and reality is awful.
