I have asked that and no one has named a worse FBS coach.

Best worst I can find is Ted Roof he still went 6 and 45 at Duke.

Goach was the HC hire I was the least excited about at the time of his hiring, but over time, there is just something about the guy that feels like the right fit for our program. Not sure what that actually means, but my gut says there’s something there. We’ll see.

To me, this one comes down to Tom Herman. If that guy does the job and our guy doesn’t, I’ll be really pissed.

That is a tough one to argue or judge. Duke is in the aac.  His two fbs wins were ironically Clemson and Northwestern. He did win two fbs games and a has a slightly worse winning percentage. ironically if we let Scott ride the season out he would have finished with a worse fbs percentage by thousandths of a decimal point. I will take the guy who beat Clemson over the guy who beat Temple. Thanks for the find and laughs.

Totally agree with you there.

I guess I'm always around a 7 when we get a new coach. Every guy we've hired has had a reason for being "better" than the last guy for whatever reasons led to the previous one's dismissal. I thought xCSH was a good call at the time. xCWT was young and exciting. xCCS was older and established. xCJS was new blood. Etc. CAG has been winning the press conferences, but... So did xCJS. He's young and new, that's why xCCS gave me some hope since he was established. I mean... What am I supposed to say? I'm optimistic AND jaded. Until we play a game... All of this is just bulletin board shenanigans.

On the Goach?

Probably about the same as you.  7 sounds good…. and I will wait to see.

I have have almost no excitement at all for Goulash.  He is the second coming of Jeff Scott until he isn't.

They are nothing alike.

My excitement level is high.  I was very down at the end of last year but Golesh has won me over.

He's brought in what, close to 50 new players or so?  This is an entirely new team.
