Here’s the difference - over the first six games we shot 27% from 3-point range. Over the past six games we’re shooting 38%. Scored 70+ just once in the first six and have scored 70+ in four of the past six. Not that complicated, really. Put the ball in the basket and you have a chance to win.

Isn't basketball team being 6-6 equivalent to USF making the Rose Bowl?  I don't watch Basketball.

Reminds me of way back when; Denny Crum had a TV halftime show on the art of shooting the basketball.  He said defense is great, but if I put the ball in the basket one more time than you, I win.

Tyler Harris 3 pt shooting opens up the floor for more open shots and space for the other players. When he was in a slump everything compounded itself.  He still takes a lot of bad shots, but we role as he does.  Hope we can get to the middle of the AAC.  Outside shot at NIT but still to early for that wishfull thinking

Exciting. Really good to see spirits up around one of our 2 major sports.

Right! And that’s my problem with BG constantly preaching defense, defense, defense! You can play good defense with effort, hustle and communication. Good offense you have to design, unless you have a bunch of studs who can consistently get their own shot - which we NEVER have.

That was a very solid win. Hofstra isn’t necessarily a name brand, but they were really good offensively last night, with multiple guys who can score. For us to not go through one of those 6-7 minute scoring droughts and get blown out was nice to see. These guys are playing hard for BG and shots have been falling the past few weeks. They’re starting to find roles and develop some consistency. If that continues, we can be competitive in the league schedule. We’re still probably in the bottom half of the AAC, but we won’t be a gimme game for anyone.

I watched the replay this morning. There was 7.5 minutes without a FG.

Yep, but they went to the free throw line 3-4 times in that stretch. So it wasn’t one of those massive scoreless stretches we’ve become accustomed to.
