I knew you would not be happy when I posted this. At this point these players have more advantages than the NFL (and the $ will continue to creep up for many players).

But you went ahead and did it anyway?  How am I supposed to take that?

Nope - no mention of Charlie Strong or Blake Barnett in the tweet

I'd be in favor of a system where a player can transfer without penalty if their coach leaves. You can transfer up a division or down a division without sitting out a year. No problem with a kid who had no offers out of HS going off and realizing he can jump from D2 to D1 for one more year. Also, no problem with grad school transfers. If you're going to pretend you care about academics, you've got to allow this. I do have a problem with lateral transfers to better programs or better conferences. That's kind of ********.

So once again we're not teaching kids responsibility. Call me old school, but these kids need to know that there are consequences that come with their decisions.  Are there exceptions? Of course. But NOT any kid any time just because he gets a wild hair up his butt.

If this is allowed then coaches should be able to put players in the portal for underperforming or being a cancer to the team.

What is the market for a bunch of underperforming players?
