2016 FAU: 5.5 (66th nationally)
2017 Georgia State: 5.3 (74th nationally)
2018 Georgia State: 5.5 (71st nationally)

Expanding on this

FAU went from 4.9 ypp before he got there to 5.5 ypp his year there
G State went from 5.2 before he got there to 5.3 his first year to 5.5 his second year

We we're 4.7 in 2020 and 4.8 in 2021 (110th in the country)
If we jumped to 5.5 we would be 65th in the country

That was my initial reaction but he seems to be an amazing recruiter (2nd in Big 12 thats not at OU/UT) and his offenses at Georgia State had an immediate uptick in production when he got there. Also all the comments I've seen by WVU fans on twitter/message boards seem very bummed that he's leaving.

Amazing recruiter at a good school?  Orlando Antigua comes to mind.  People don't think that worked out well. Can anyone coach?

recruiting to Kentucky in Basketball is recruiting to a blue blood, recruiting to WVU in football is recruiting to an average P5 team which is a bit of a difference but I get the sentiment. Development & playcalling is more important than recruiting

While a good point, we were still ranked, beating good teams and fun to watch.  In our current form we are none of the above, so I would say for worse.

it's definitely worse until it isn't .....

So in one year he was able to adjust his offense away from the triple option. And in that first year he lost 0.2/yd. At 5.5 yds/play and IF we run 85 plays that 467.5 yds/gm. I'll take it!

GO BULLS!

Also, I was reading that he's released five number-one singles and won two Grammys. Wait, that's Travis Tritt. Nevermind.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
