In college you have to think ahead and not just react. You hit the nail on the head there...

As for tonight....You. Cannot. Take. A. Sack. There. So that's mostly on the QB but also on whoever calls the plays and failed to remind Timmy to throw it away. I want to know why a quarterback who has been playing football for years should have to be told to throw the ball away if the play isn’t there. I am a 68 year old woman who has never played a down of football in my life and you wouldn’t need to tell me if the play isn’t there throw it away and have a few more seconds to play

I do like the way our QB throws the ball, especially for a freshman.

As a 68 year old woman who has never played a down of football, you've never not thrown it away and made something happen. He has - a lot. It does either have to be coached out of him or hopefully at this point, was just learned the hard way.

Does the 68 year old women know how an 18 year old thinks/reacts when there are three 275lbs+ lineman running after you to smash your face in? Or that that some QBs are extra competitive and are trying so hard to make something happen they forget instructions/experiences in the heat of the moment? Unless one has been in that situation it’s really easy to jump on his decision making. Did he fail? Was the moment too big for him? Yes and yes, but he has a good base yet room to get better. He probably thinks it's like 90% chance you can get away from the collapsed pocket in high school games which are not same chance in college game. What this kid came in and did in less than a year in the system is quite impressive. He will grow and he will be better next year, especially if the offensive coaching staff remains in tact. Everyone's quick to forget how terrible Flowers was when he was a freshman. He was so bad he got pulled from the game in his first start. We didn't see him much the remainder of that year. I will say that Timmy could really benefit from a coach like Shaun King. We saw what King did with Flowers in the short time he had him.

I would drop BJ and replace him with King if that was possible. Nothing personal, just business.

This needs to be made into the light.
