It was all talk about the acc letting fsu and Clemson walk only to the sec so that espn picks up the acc 2027 deal. Basically blackmailing them into taking it. Espn is trying everything possible for fsu and Clemson to not go to the big 12. If the acc keeps on putting a fight they will not pick up the 2027 acc deal and let them die like the pac 12

Yeah.  Basically it gives ESPN some control and gives the ACC a declining percentage of Clemson and FSU money from TV.  Also would lower the payout for current ACC members - which is the danger. They could choose to dissolve the conference.

ACC teams have an option to dissolve the conference before SMU, Stanford, and Cal come in on June 30 as well.

OSU hopium lol Oregon State and Wazzu aren't a cultural fit with the ACC. Why go for 2 rural Pacific NW schools when you have plenty of eastern, urban, strong academic schools like USF and UConn available. Heck, I'd even take Memphis over those 2 because they're not really worthy of growing the western wing of the ACC.

Is cultural fit still a thing these days?

To answer my own question I guess I can see a common profile in the leagues.  How does USF stack up academically against Washington State and Oregon State?  (or UCONN for that matter)

If they lose 2, I bet they only backfill 1. (They are on an odd number currently).

USF or UConn.

But, if the Big 12 can't add any of the ACC, they may be more in play for us.

With the rumors swirling around of the ACC raiding the big 12 it will be interesting to see if USF holds out for the ACC…

Who would likely be a ACC candidate from the B12?

That would be great.  More regional games and Pitt.

If the ACC is looking to add only AAU schools moving forward, then I would think Kansas is the only one in play from the Big 12 as the four corners schools probably wouldn't move so fast.

Utah (if the ACC stayed mostly intact) would jump in a heartbeat. They want to be away from BYU.

Don’t think WV will be it.

First from what I heard ALL the B12 schools signed off on a long term GOR. I believe Utah was the only one that went in with a special note that said they didn’t give up those rights.

If you look at ACC after FSU/ Clemson leaves, is a more academic conference outside off Louisville, so I’m thinking If they keep that ESPN contract deal, Utah is the most likely to bail out.
