Agreed, this is either good or not a big deal,   I like the shake up, get us in the big 12, what is left of it or not.  We are still on the outside but at least with playoff expansion we have a path in either conference.

We have an honest path to the playoffs. I personally no longer care as much about becoming a P5 member. If it happens then cool, if not we have the same ceiling as the big boys.

If we make the playoffs as a G6, the recruits and money will come regardless.

I'd like to go back to one of the original predictions years ago that it ends up in four 16 team leagues that play for the championship.  The rest don't matter.  In or out.

Here is reality if those two leave the Big12, what’s left isn’t much better than the AAC and their media contract will be similar money wise so forget that 35 million.

The B12 will try to survive by taking 2-4 teams, maybe BYU, Boise and two AAC schools. Or worse case scenario 4 AAC schools. The AAC can add 4. Or even just 1 and with 9 schools play a round robin and still play a championship game.

With the new CFP deal, access will be the same whether in newB12 or newAAC. We just need to win.

The newB12 without OU or UT will get one slot in playoff. The champion of newAAC would probably still be the sixt best champion so also one slot. Doubt the B12 will ever get more than 1 spot in playoffs.

But who knows what will happen. I just think the difference between that newB12 and newAAC will be lot less than it is now.
