I guess he won’t be starting this year, thank g-d we didn’t waste a year on someone that wouldn’t be here for the future and instead focused on fostering his growth.

You mean like Marsh (injured), Fortin (injured), or Johnson (injured)?

This... McCloud was the only one that could stay healthy! That alone is a hell of an accomplishment apparently.  Good luck McCloud and thank you for your time at USF!

Highly doubt it. I would suspect the Miami transfer with McClain waiting to go.  Not so sure about Fortin after his performances this past year and the fact he didn't step up and win the job.

Fortin missed a lot of time early, presumably Covid.  He got one chance early and didn't do much with it.  But his second opportunity he looked great for most of one series before he blew up his shoulder.  So I am not sure we can conclude anything at all from this season.

This is the best move for McCloud. He looked really good in his last game so he'll have some options. I hope he finds success.

Yea  he had all of the opportunities this year to secure a starting spot and even when he was healthy couldn't pull it off. He has a year under Weis offense so he still has a chance, but don't see him beating out McClain or the Miami transfer (too lazy to look up his name lol)

Are we still talking about Fortin?  Fortin was almost never healthy.  I mean, he didn't even get on the field until Game 4 after missing fall camp.  Came back in during Game 7, when it looked like he was in shape and had a grasp of the offense, and then went out for the season with an injury.

Not much real opportunity.  Hopefully, he and others get a full spring practice.
