Won't work for us. Always have had a nice amount of transfers on the squad.  Some of our best players were transfers.

JPP, Adams, etc.

For every one of those we had about 10 who were terrible. But I do agree. We are in no position to not want transfers.

We shouldn't unless we are an elite program like Bama and Clemson where you have a stable of 4 and 5 star talent at every level...

And even Bama would take a f kicker transfer in a heartbeat

Not to use a dumb phrase but it is what it is lol.  Until we are overflowing with top recruits like UGA I imagine we will have to attempt to teleport in more Avengers.

If he can win without it, why would anybody care? The portal certainly will not make a winner. Without coaching, unless maybe it's Clemson's starting 22,

we still aren't winning the conference.

Unless he puts together an absolute monster of a recruiting staff we will still need and will still take transfers.  He's going to say it because that is his goal for the program but life in the AAC is much different than life at Clemson.  I'd definitely like to see us get to a point where our recruiting and player development allows us to only take transfer as a luxury rather than a necessity, but that will literally take years to get full classes of his kids in here and then develop them while they're here.   It's definitely a great big picture goal but it's definitely something that isn't even visible on the horizon right now.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
