Didn't know that Norman was starting as a freshman.  I do know that I thought he was terrible last year.

don't get me wrong the bad recruiting classes are catching up to us. I'm just not blaming the players in this instance. I think the o-line troubles are as much about the change in scheme as anything. Attebury and Norman both started here at tackle in the RS freshman year under Taggart and seemed to be just fine.

Definitely agree with you regarding the offense of line. To give further proof to your statement we were not this bad the last two years (when healthy) and they played much better. We should always be running a spread offense it’s the only way.

Anytime there is a problem, they hire a firm to tell them what to do and assume if things go wrong they can just deny any responsibility.

So like any corporation haha

We were bad last year. The competition was also bad and made us look better than were. The dropback qb is killing us

What's he doing now?

I believe he quit after Charlie kicked him off the team, but he was productive while he was here

The thing is there's zero on the field evidence these kids could run those other schemes. They're failing in some of the most basic ways of being a football players. Kids are just being out muscled/physicaled and our technique at basically every position is horrendous.  Hell I've seen offensive tackles in a full back pedal in games this season, a technique that is not taught at the position at any level. You can have the best scheme and x's and o's in the world but if you can't coach them to even have some of the most fundamental aspects at their ideal positions, develop them physically and mentally to compete with their peers, and motivate them to elevate themselves and be accountable none of your x's and o's genius matters. If the kids can't do the basics required of players in any scheme, let aloneness yours and are not physically able to compete with their peers scheme becomes irrelevant.

I feel when you put people in losing positions, especially when they won’t be here long enough to realize the change and others don’t believe you will be here to actualize the change they give up and all portions of their production will fail because they have given up. If you give people an opportunity to succeed and they can recognize the path to success they will try harder and will produce better, these fish can’t climb trees and it’s more our fault for asking them to than it is their fault for not being able to.

he was our #3 receiver his sophomore year behind Mccants and MVS

His freshman year he was behind Rodney Adams MVS McCants

Last year we were 7-2 in the games he played before he was suspended. He was also our #2 receiver behind only McCants before his suspension.
