There are not 5 games we can win. Ecu and UConn are only wins left.

Being able to score a few times might help. All depends on the O line...

Based on how Blake plays or McCloud?

If Blake started all season we could be looking at a zero win season...it was that bad.

Worst ranked qb in college number 130.

McCloud all I can say is a big improvement..how much is to be seen.

He needs to survive complete disastrous rushes against the O line.

Bell needs to use plays like screens and such to help maybe slow the rush or have McCloud roll out some.

Offensive lines been a huge disappointment to date.

To be fair we won't know what we have in the back 3/4's of the season until after SMU.  A new QB with a different skill set can help hide deficiencies and give teams an intangible spark.   Let's at least see what we have with McCloud entrenched as the starter before we talk about game against teams like SMU, UCONN, Navy, ECU, and Temple not being winnable.  Maybe this team finds it's identity and improves as the season goes and with a new offensive system and young QB that is entirely possible or maybe this team is as bad as they looked at times the first 3 games.

We ran quite a few of them last week and McCloud missed them early when he was still settling in.   I was actually happy with the amount we ran we just didn't execute on many of them early in the game.

Well said! And I pretty much got ahead of myself too. I’m hoping we win 6 or 7 games and get bowl eligible. It will be a great step for a rebuilding year that should propel next season to greater heights! Feels good to feel excited again for USF football. Now this bye week is gonna kill me cause I want to see more.

We were bad the first two games, and yet still had a chance to walk off with a win in ATL. We sputtered a little with SCSt, but what's encouraging is we didn't have another McNeese--coaches figured out what to do, and the guys manned up and played ball--both sides. They were not having another self-inflicted defeat, and that's the kind of heart this team needs. It was fun to see. Now hopefully they can do it again...and again. Just gotta see them making strides, and maybe they surprise everyone and beat some good teams.

Improvement from our offensive line will be key to a winning season.
