IPF Funding Status

Per VP of Athletics Michael Kelly during his interview on 95.3 WDAE this morning, the IPF has raised just north of $19 million in funding. Based on the initial announced required funding, that would put us just short of halfway funded.

That just makes Judy's gift a kick in the balls even more. NOOOOOOO I can't give money  to athletics it's got to go to those pencil necked geeks for an honors college.

She has already given to the IPF

And that is why USF is so better off with respect to athletics. She had a stranglehold on the university.

We better hurry up and reach our $10k goal.  Seriously, people think that raising $40 million should be easy.  It isn't.  USF wanting to be prudent, or maybe there is some legislation requiring 50%, is the way to go.  Not sure how many members on this board but we can't raise $10k in 13 days.  This is a tough sell.   And if/when we do raise 10k that doesn't move the needle much vs $40 mil.  

Not saying any support isn't appreciated but it takes a certain level donor to make things happen and we just don't have that many.  The Muma's do sports plus business plus hospital wings, etc.  Many of the other mega rich are putting money into colleges within USF and not Athletics.  Their choice but it makes it tough.

In fairness, if we took your gift and the gifts of others I know on this board that may not have participated in this drive we would be well over the $10,000 threshold.
